Contact Issues on Messenger

Hello, please help me, I have a contact issue on Messenger. I can no longer find my Facebook contacts on Messenger or see friends online; I just see a blank page with the text in bold: Find people to message
and below that: Your contacts will be continuously synced to see who joins Messenger.
What should I do, please! Knowing that I do not want to sync my phone contacts on Messenger.
Help me and thank you in advance.

        #Abdeldadfou yes, I reinstalled an old version from Google and it works, you download it and install it
        For me, version 70.0.0.12.68 works very well :)
