Photo contact messenger does not display

Hello,
The photo of one of my Messenger contacts no longer appears either in the conversation window or in the floating contact and cannot be captured either in the conversation window or in appearance.
It also does not appear in my contacts on Msn Discovery and only shows up in the conversation window when that contact starts messaging me.
When I ask him what he did about this, he tells me that the problem is with my PC, but as he is usually a liar, I cannot trust what he says.
I searched the forums but couldn't find anything,
