Hello, I just upgraded to Windows 10 and I can't change the text color of open programs in the taskbar. It's written in black on a dark gray background, it's unreadable... Could someone help? I would like it to be written in white... Thanks!

    Hello,

Personalization Settings - Color - High contrast settings and you choose.
    OR

    Disable visual effects

If Windows runs slowly, you can speed it up by disabling some visual effects. This is about finding a balance between appearance and performance. Do you prefer Windows to run faster or to look nicer? If your PC is fast enough, this trade-off does not concern you. On the other hand, if it barely has enough power for Windows 7, it may be useful to somewhat reduce visual effects.

You can select the visual effects to disable one by one or let Windows do it for you. The visual effects that can be controlled number 20 and include, among others, transparency, the open/close animation of menus, and shadow display.

To adjust all visual effects and get better performance:

To open Performance Information and Tools, click Start, then Control Panel. In the search box, type Performance Information and Tools, then in the list of results, click Performance Information and Tools.

Click on Adjust for best performance. Administrative permission required If you are prompted to provide an administrator password or confirmation, provide the password or confirmation.

Click successively the Visual Effects tab, then Adjust for best performance, and then OK. (For a milder impact, select Let Windows choose the best settings for my computer.)

Thank you davidleboos for the reply, but it’s not there yet...

Nothing in the visual effects, and the high-contrast themes are really gross.

    help!
