Remove all instances of a single word in Word

Solved

Hello,

I would like to know how to select all occurrences of the same word in Word (in my case it is "--undefined--") so that I can automatically delete all its occurrences.

I have already tried using the Ctrl + H function (find and replace) but the replacement is done with a space, I would just like it to be deleted without anything else.

I need to be able to select all the "--undefined--" that appear in my document at once.

Thank you very much for your answers.

Hello,

In the replace function of Word, you can leave by empty, so the word is effectively removed.

Best regards

Unfortunately, when I do this, the word is replaced by three empty spaces. I would like it to be simply deleted.

it may be that "--undefined--" is preceded and followed by one or more spaces

so these spaces must be taken into account in the "replace", for example replacing " --undefined-- " with nothing

Yes indeed, but it always leaves the line. Is a simple selection of all the "--undefined--" not possible?

"he always leaves the line break" well yes but you don't say everything at the beginning.

In the replace function, there is a "plus" button for advanced options.

You do your replace --undefined-- plus at the bottom, you select the "special" list and you take either "paragraph break" or "manual line break" or... that adds the concerned special character after --undefined-- and you replace everything with nothing.

Ah perfect! Thank you very much!
Sorry, yes, but I'm not very knowledgeable so I had a bit of trouble expressing my problem.
Thank you so much in any case.
