Hello,
I just bought a new TV and I'm tearing my hair out trying to connect my Bose Cinemate that I bought a few years ago.
On my old TV, there was a Jack input, so there was no problem connecting my Bose, the TV sound went directly to the Bose.
On my new TV, I don't have many options; there is only an optical output.
So I purchased a converter but no sound is coming out.
Help please before I smash it with a hammer! Thanks in advance.
Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 50.0.2661.102

Hi, thanks for your response, I'm going to order this box and I'll see if it works.
Regarding the TV connections, it is indeed the back that was photographed and not the side (see new photo) and no, unfortunately, I don't have a jack.
The UE55KU6000 is the very latest model... and there is no longer a jack or headphone.
I'll keep you posted.

Quick silly question:
Does your Bose not have an optical input like your new TV? Or is it too "old" to have an optical input?
I realize I'm a bit late to the topic, but it could have saved you from having to buy a digital-to-analog audio converter ;-)
Best regards ;-)
Indeed, as we can see in the second photo, my Bose does not have an optical input. I can't tell you exactly how old it is, it's not old but it's not the latest generation, it's the first Cinemate.
It's never "too late," I haven't ordered the box yet.
Best regards.
Indeed, I saw that the control box of your Bose does not have an optical input, which is a shame ;-)
So, when you order the audio converter, remember that it must have an OPTICAL IN and an ANALOG RCA OUT (Red and White), just like in the image below:
Best regards, have a nice evening and a great weekend ;-)
