Disabling edge-3G-4G Logicom 552

Hello,

I just bought a Logicom L-ite 552 at Darty, where a professional assured me that I could completely disconnect 3G and 4G. This was a decisive criterion for my purchase: I do not want internet, not even on edge, connected at all times.
I was therefore surprised to discover that this smartphone does not work like my previous one: if you disable mobile data, you are automatically connected on edge at minimum, and there is nothing to be done. Additionally, my plan has been greatly exceeded since this purchase...
I went back to Darty, where another 'professional' assured me that today all smartphones are automatically connected to the internet. To which I replied that my old one (LG Optimus L9) handled deactivation without any problems, without any internet connection without my knowledge. He could not respond, apart from: "today if you want to enable internet as you wish, you need to buy a payphone."

I would like to know if it would be possible to completely disable the antennas of the phone itself (because I admit that I really like it, in terms of ergonomics, aesthetics, etc., and would like to keep it, even if that means having no internet at all...).

If not, do you know of any smartphones where you can completely turn off the internet as you wish without continuing to be charged?

Thank you for any answers you may provide, have a good evening :)

Hello,

Of course we can disable mobile data!
Settings > Wireless and networks > Mobile networks (or Mobile consumption or Mobile data)

Yes, indeed, but maybe I expressed myself poorly: I can disconnect the mobile data according to the "path" you indicated; but the internet remains connected anyway, at least in edge. My credit continues to be debited even though I have actually disabled the data, and the icon at the top of my phone still indicates E or 3G (I do not have a 4G plan).
So I would like to know if it is possible to completely turn off the phone's antennas, to keep only the phone network. I don't want to be connected to the internet all the time...

Hello, as BunoCS rightly pointed out, if after turning off mobile data you are still connected to the internet and it is consuming your data, then there is a serious problem. Normally, when you are connected to the internet, there is a little H on top of the E or 3G icon which means you are connected; if you don't see it, then you are not connected!
