Password change for Windows 10 session

Hello everyone,

I would like to change my Windows 10 login password (administrator profile).

The problem... is that I have absolutely no idea how to do it. All I managed to find is the password change for my Microsoft account.

But these are two distinct passwords, so I don't know how to proceed.

Has anyone here faced the same situation? How can I do it?

Thank you all 100 times!

Cédric.

    Hello!

    Why make it complicated ^^

    In an admin command prompt:
    net user NOM_DE_COMPTE_ADMIN MOT_DE_PASSE

    Have a nice day!

Thank you! It worked, but not completely...
      I received the following message:
"The system does not have authority for the specified account and cannot complete the operation. Please retry the operation using the provider associated with this account. If it is an online provider, use the provider's online site."

If I understand correctly, I need to go through Microsoft Exchange? In that case, why aren't my session password and the Microsoft Exchange password the same?

Why did you set the admin account as the Microsoft account? Why?

      That’s an excellent question.
This is my work PC, which was configured by a colleague.
I’m leaving the company. And so, I want to set a standard password.

I think the best solution is still to create a local account, then delete only the Microsoft/admin account.

If the configuration is properly done, you’ll need to reinstall the system ;-)

        Thank you for your help.
I redefined the login mode as local vs via my account. So I was able to change the session password.

        Have a good evening.

If it hasn't changed since Windows 8, Ctrl-Alt-Delete & then change the password"

However, my Windows 10 computer lets me change the password with Ctrl+Alt+Delete, as vivelesgrecs says.
