Good evening, On two occasions, on May 13 and May 28, 2016, I sent a text message to my granddaughter without receiving a response? I asked her to call me: could it be intentional? That is why I want to know how to check if these messages were properly received. Thank you for your response. Marie

Hello, you can enable the read receipt function on many mobiles (check Google to find a tutorial) but if it wasn't done when sending the previous messages, you will not be able to know if they were received/read.

Hi, The technique is not there to replace a failing interpersonal communication. Personally, I consider read receipts an intrusion into my personal space and, like many others, I have blocked them for a long time. Would you send a registered letter with a return receipt to your granddaughter? That said, technically speaking, it is possible for the receiver to block the sending of read receipts...

Good evening, It's not an intrusion, it's just to be reassured that an important SMS has been received, which was the case in this instance. Of course, I wouldn't send a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt to my granddaughter. But your comments are pertinent.....! Thank you Marie
