Black screen/nothing displays issue: Canon Eos 1100D

Hello,

For the past 2/3 days, I've been having a problem with the LCD screen of my Canon EOS 1100D, which I've had for almost 3 years. It has never fallen, never been exposed to water, and I take extremely good care of it.
However, the other day, during a "photo session," the LCD screen suddenly turned black while I was reviewing the photos I had just taken.
I’m not panicking and think I’ll find a solution later; I continue taking photos and there’s no problem except that my screen is constantly black.
That evening, I searched the manual and the internet to find out what might be wrong. I fully charged the battery, but it didn’t help.
The screen remains black, with no signs of "life" from it.
However, the camera still works perfectly well.
Did I accidentally press a button that I shouldn’t have?...
I’m just an amateur, a mistake can happen quickly. But if that were the case, wouldn’t I have found some information in the camera’s manual?
Should I buy a new battery and see if that fixes it?
If I need to get it repaired, whom should I contact? What will the price be? How long will it take before I can get my device back?

Thank you in advance for your responses and help.

The screen or its power supply is down.
To find out more about the malfunction, you have to go through a lab.
The repair usually costs far too much to be feasible.

When you're sure it's indeed the screen that's the issue, you can replace it yourself; there are videos on YouTube that explain in detail how to do it. At first glance, it seems simple, but you still need to have the right tools and a lot of skill, imo.

Argh, I'm really unlucky.
Ideally, I should go through a lab and if it comes from the screen... Well, should I try to change it myself?

Watch the video that matches your model on YouTube.
Be careful, it only lasts a few minutes; in reality, it takes much more time, patience, and the right tools. I do not recommend doing it yourself unless you are really very handy.
For a much simpler repair, due to a lack of habit (skill), I had to take my device to a friend who is a professional electronics technician to finish the assembly because I couldn't do it. Yet I am experienced in this kind of small work; since childhood, I have been playing with a soldering iron to make electronic circuits.
