Hello,
I'm having trouble with an update; I always get the following error message:
• Hewlett-Packard - Enterprise WSD Multi-Function Printer, Multi-Function Printer, Other hardware - Null Print - HP ENVY 5640 series - Error 0x8024200b
• Update for Windows Defender definitions – KB2267602 (Definition 1.217.2148.0) - Error 0x80246013
I don't understand much about computers, but my firewall can't update, and neither can my printer? Is Norton involved in this?
I recently did a system restore after having a startup issue/"critical error," and I had this update problem before as well.
I feel like I'm going in circles, and I would really like to get out of this! If anyone knows more, please let me know how.
Best regards
Andrea
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 49.0.2623.112

Hello
Before updating, you need to disconnect all your peripherals except for the mouse and keyboard, and preferably uninstall your own antivirus
Are you updating Windows 10 or something else?
Best regards

Computing is just a tool, like a brush or a pencil.
Avoid those so-called repair free software, they are of no major use. The best companions are Dos and Powershell..

for my part, I would temporarily advise you to disable your antivirus while installing your software & updating your devices.

thank you for replying to me
I have Windows 10 and this is not the first update.
Uninstall Norton and after uninstallation restart your PC to reactivate Defender

And then: I bought Norton at the same time as my computer, maybe a bad choice, but a German proverb says: it is only with wrong choices that we become wiser!
Is Defender activated? Press Windows + X, go to Control Panel, then Defender, and update it. You can reinstall it later; let's address your updates first.
