Hello, I had to reset my computer because it wouldn't turn on anymore, so I backed up my files on an external hard drive to avoid losing them. Once the reset was finished, I wanted to restore my files on my computer, but it can't read them anymore; they are now in SWM files and unreadable. What can I do?

Hello,
They can be opened with software like 7-Zip. Test it first on one or two files and avoid processing everything at once.

Hello
I suppose you are on Windows
swm = compressed file (when saving)
The backup system you used should do the job.
Otherwise, use 7zip that you can find according to your system:
here in 32 bits: https://sourceforge.net/projects/sevenzip/files/7-Zip/15.14/7z1514.exe/download?use_mirror=netix
there in 64 bits: https://sourceforge.net/projects/sevenzip/files/7-Zip/15.14/7z1514-x64.exe/download?use_mirror=freefr -
