Reinstall my HP C5180 all-in-one printer

Hello

I have an HP Photosmart C5180 all-in-one printer. For a week now, I haven't been able to scan any documents to my HP Windows XP computer.
A message says no scan option.
I changed my internet box. I switched from SFR to Bouygues. I'm not sure if this is relevant.
I tried to put the installation CD back in, but it stops after a few minutes.
Thank you for your help.

    Good evening...

    To scan, try this:
start, programs, accessories, PAINT, file and "from a scanner or camera"...
    Is your printer on wifi?
    Regards,
    See you later

Are you on Windows or another system?
    Paint exists on all Windows:
type paint in the search box...
but if the printer is connected to the router, with what cable?

Yes, I'm on Windows XP. I found Paint in the search bar, but I can't find it in the programs. I'm not an expert.
As for the cable, oops, how do I recognize them?

Where you found PAINT, click on it and "open"....
Regarding the cable: you should have a "power" cable that goes to the wall for the power supply, and another: either a USB that goes to the computer, or an RJ45, like a telephone cable, that goes to the box...tell me exactly what you have...
