Hello,
I want to restore my computer to its original state and I have already formatted my main disk, but I would like to know if I can also format the system recovery partition disk without causing any problems...

Thank you!

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 48.0.2564.109

    Hello,
The recovery partition has its function in its name. If you format it, it means you are erasing the recovery system.
You can do it if you need to, but remember that the function will no longer exist afterward.

    Hello,

yes, I confirm what Gouril said.

But if you want to restore it to factory settings, you need that recovery partition, or how do you want to proceed?

    Best regards

    Hello,
Indeed, this partition can be formatted, but, because there is a but, goodbye to factory reset afterward, unless you have DVD(s) created during the first setup of the PC, so think carefully before acting!!!
    Regards.

Hello tanteelise and Gouril, sorry, I didn't see your responses!

So if I understand correctly, it's better not to format it because I don't want to delete it.
    Thank you all! :)

    Re,

And depending on the brand and model of your PC, you have a method to reset it to factory settings, as you wish.
You just need to provide us with this information.

"I have already formatted my system disk " ? Okay, but with what, a WINDOWS ISO?

You used the advanced Drive Options to format not your system Disk but the system partition

"Microsoft does not release its Windows 7 ISO file for OEM PCs "

PC manufacturer Windows 7 OEM version pre-installed by the manufacturer
        3 reinstallation modes

        A) From the recovery partition
        B) From a system image in addition to a repair disk "
        C) From a copy of the recovery partition

You formatted the system partition with a Windows 7 installation disc superior to what you had before and the recovery partition is hindering the installation + or - 20 GB that you want to recover!
        Anyway!
