How to hide my Facebook profile picture? Solved

Hello,

I would like to know how to make my Facebook profile picture hidden from people who are not on my friends list, for those who are doing a friend search.
I’m okay with them finding me but I don't want them to see my photo.
I used to be able to do it, so it was possible, but I can’t find it anymore.
And I notice that it should still be possible to apply because some of my searches have resulted in this "white man on a light blue background."

I just found out how to do it :)
With the new Facebook profile, profile pictures are directly "public," so there's no need to go into privacy settings...

Actually, you have to click on the photo, go to the EDIT icon, be careful it's the one at the top right of the screen!! Right below "add a description" and next to "tag"

And there you can choose between "friends," "me," and even "custom"... :)
don't forget to save the changes and there you go!!

I tried the same thing for cover photos, but there’s no choice there, they are public and that's it.....

Hello,
actually the "white man on a blue background" as you say is when you have no profile picture =).

And there is no way to hide your main profile picture, however, you can control who can see the other photos in your albums (everyone, your friends, only you, no one ...).

If you really want to make sure no photo of your profile is visible, you'll need to delete all your profile pictures.

Here’s a little tip, instead of putting your face on your profile, put an image of anything else^^

A dog, a cat, a lion, a buzzard, a clown, a pirate, a flower... in short, there are plenty of images on the net^^

Also, if you want to make the 5 photos at the top of your page invisible, simply remove them from the view using the small cross located at the top right of each one on your profile page.

The solution exists:
go to photos.
in "your photos" (and not "photos of you") click on view all
next to each photo (including the profile one) you have the option of publication. (choose friends only or me only)

Clique on the small triangle to the right of Home, then on "Privacy settings," and then on "Manage visibility of old posts." Only cover photos cannot be hidden, so advice: delete your old ones.
