MOTOROLA V3i Memory Card Issue

Hello,

I have a MOTOROLA RAZR V3i phone and I bought a 2GB microSD memory card for this phone.
I'm experiencing several issues:
- When I connect the phone to my computer via USB, nothing happens, I can't access the memory card and the phone displays: "device... data inaccessible".
- When I want to change the storage on the phone and access the memory card, it tells me "device not readable format now?" but formatting fails every time.

The problem does not come from the memory card since I can read it perfectly using a card reader.

What should I do to be able to use this memory card with the phone, is the storage (2GB) too large for the phone?

Thank you for your help
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello, it is clearly stated in the phone description that its internal memory without a card is 10MB and with a memory card a maximum of 512MB!
Your 2GB cards are too large for this phone!!!!

1GB cards work for the Motorola V3i, but I have the same problem as Loic with the 2GB ones.

LOL I was scared because I have a 32GB SD card, haha. My mom gave me this phone, but I wonder why my card is going.

It's very simple, you go to connection - USB settings and change the connection to send to the memory card because in my opinion your phone is directly linked to your internal memory and not to your memory card!!!
Moreover, the Z3 Rizr has a maximum capacity of 1 GB!!!

You need to buy an adapter for a micro SD card.

I have the same problem as you with my Motorola RIZR Z3... but with a 1GB Kingston memory card.

When I connect to the PC via USB, I can access the files on my memory card only 1 time out of 10, and even then I'm being generous...

If there is a firmware patch or any other solution, please keep me informed via email.

Hello,

I have a Motorola V3i and a 128 MB memory card, and I connected them via USB. I transferred a file to my memory card, but I can't read the file directly on my phone.

Thank you for your help.

I had a Motorola V3i phone with a 512 MB memory card that was working very well, and after a battery issue, when I changed the battery, I found that the card no longer works even when I connect the phone to my computer via USB. It asks me to format it, but the formatting always fails, and for the available space, it shows that the card is full.
Please help me, I don't understand anything.

Hello everyone, I recently bought a Motorola V3i + a 1GB micro SD memory card.
But I don't understand how to put it in the phone...
I’ve been told it's next to the SIM card... I have seen it, but I don't know how to insert it...
Please help me, thanks =)

Pour ceux qui ont une carte mémoire de plus de 512 Mo, le Motorola V360 ne supporte pas cette carte, alors essayez avec 512 Mo ou moins.

Oh that's frustrating!! I didn't know that phones can't support too much memory!!! Ugh, I have a Motorola V360 and I'm having the same problem as everyone here!! Well, I think I'm going to change phones, do you know which phones support 2 GB of memory??

For those where the card is unreadable on the phone and formatting is impossible, try formatting on the PC via the card reader!
