Hello,
Please explain to me why in the contacts of my iPhone 5c there appear many names of people I don't know and how to delete them all together.

    Hello, the contacts you don’t know must come from somewhere.
    Either you share your Apple ID with another person and both of you have enabled the Contacts option in iCloud settings
    OR
    IF you don’t use the iCloud Contacts option and you connect your device to a computer, the contacts may come from the computer; if you delete them, the contacts will also be deleted on the computer.
    On the other hand, there is no method to delete contacts in bulk; you have to do it manually.

      I do not share my username with anyone, is it possible that Apple accepts 2 identical usernames?

      When I bought my iPhone the Apple Store transferred my old phone to the iPhone I had just purchased because I didn’t know how to do it, could that be where the issue comes from?

      IF you have given/sold your iPhone without erasing it, the problem probably comes from there.

      I have an old Nokia that I always keep in a drawer.

      So a mystery and you really can’t erase several contacts at the same time, you have to do it one by one? It’s still odd that Apple didn’t think of that!

      Thank you for taking the time to respond, and if any idea comes to mind to erase all unknown contacts at once, I’m interested.

      Hello, if I understand correctly this is your first iPhone, Apple transferred the contact list from your Nokia to your iPhone. As I already wrote, you have to delete the contacts one by one; you cannot delete contacts by group. Do you use the Contacts option in the iCloud settings on your iPhone? Fred.ml

      Indeed it’s my first iPhone and in Settings then iCloud, Contacts is checked.
      I recently noticed that many of the names I don’t know, and which are in my contacts, are my brother’s friends; how did they get there? Mystery.
      Is there any drawback to keeping all these names in my Contacts?
