Hello, Having just changed my mobile phone, I want to fully utilize its capabilities. I opted for the Nokia E65. I wish to use VoIP, but I don't know how to obtain the settings from Orange (if it's even possible). I've called their help center several times, but the operators are unable to assist me ("SIP settings?!? Never heard of it"). I don't have the following information: SIP settings: Public username - Proxy server (address, domain, username, password, loose routing allowed (yes/no), transport type (auto/udp/tcp)) - Registrar server (address, domain, username, password, transport type (auto/udp/tcp)) Do I have a chance of finding this information or do I need to create an account with a VoIP telecom operator? Just a small clarification. The solution does not come from me, but I found it online; I would have liked to credit its creator, but I can't find the link anymore.

Attention: the manipulations described for the Nokia are of no use for SIP (and therefore VoIP) but just to connect to the Wi-Fi of the Livebox...
It seems that for the moment the connection information for the SIP server(s) from Orange are not being communicated. Yes, Orange uses the SIP protocol with the new NET N subscriptions.

slt so for info you won't be able to configure your phone in sip mode with orange, because you need 2 keys, a public one and a private one. Orange is the only ISP that doesn't provide this private key. there you go, bye.

Sorry for you, but it seems that Orange is the only ISP using the H323 protocol and not SIP....
I searched extensively for information proving otherwise... There are forums on other sites:

Hello,

I followed the configuration to the letter more than 10 times but nothing works. The error message is "no gateway response"; my livebox is an Iventel and I don't forget to press the association button on the livebox.
Please help, I'm going crazy.

Here is the solution to surf on Wifi with Livebox Sagem using Nokia E65: retrieved from the forum

Menu>tools>settings>Connection>Access points>Options>New access point>Use default settings
Connection name: "choose a name"
Data bearer: WLAN
WLAN name: Search for names >" select WLAN network configured on PC"
Network status: Public
WLAN mode: Ad hoc
WLAN security mode: Open network (option to change)
Home page: "whatever we want"
>press options>Advanced settings>IPv4 settings
Phone IP address: 192.168.(...).(...) choose a unique IP address in your network
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: "IP address of the Wifi card of the PC"
DNS address: Automatic
>press Back
Ad hoc channel: User defined: 7 >OK
Proxy address: "IP address of the Wifi card of the PC" (same as gateway)
Proxy port number: 8010
>Back 4X>Exit>Back>Exit (phew it’s done)

You can now surf the web with your GSM by selecting your WLAN configuration that you just created under reserve, provided you are not too far from the Wifi card of your PC and that it has been properly configured.
I am trying to configure a SIP and can’t do it in Ad hoc mode (I’m all ears... on the appropriate post)
