Hello, I'm encountering the following issue:
I changed my PC (now running Windows) from one that used to run Vista
I copied and pasted a file from the old PC to the new one. But I can't open it, here is the error message
C:\Program Files\......\data\.....exe
the specified path does not exist.
please check that the path is correct, then try again.
Can someone provide me with information and a solution?
Thank you

Hello,
you just copied the shortcut, this shortcut points to the folder or file where the original is located, but since it doesn't exist on this PC, it shows you an error message!
so it's normal!
to use this file, you need to reinstall the software completely!

If I find the CDs that were put on my old PC, I could put them on the new one.
The content of the files in this folder is neither Word, nor Excel... nor PDF..... it's something unusual, I would say!!!!!!
there must be incompatibility with Vista (old PC) and Windows 8 (new PC)
I thought I could convert it.... well, I won't stress about it, never mind...

Some software is compatible, others are not!
In that case, you can always try to install them in compatibility mode!
If there is really a vital necessity for using those files, then you need to install a virtual machine, install Vista, and run the software!
But if you can do without it, that's also fine because setting up a virtual machine is quite technical and requires quite a bit of knowledge!
