Good evening everyone.

A family member wants to buy my A1502 Macbook Pro Retina 13″, which I bought in 2015; the computer had never had any issues...
Three days ago, I wanted to "clean" it, erase the data from the Macintosh HD and reinstall OS X (restore it to factory settings). I used cmd + R, went to Disk Utility, erased it, then clicked on Reinstall OS X. "OS X El Capitan, to configure the installation of OS X 10.11, click continue." The installation began... 6 hours of waiting... after 3 hours of installation:

"OS X could not be installed on the computer, no packages could be installed. contact the software publisher for assistance. Quit the installer to restart your computer, then try again."

I've tried a good ten times over the last 3 days, attempting to start the computer with cmd+R / alt+cmd+R / alt+R, I've also tried changing the date, I also did cmd+s following a forum, it still doesn't work, I'm starting to get desperate, if you have any other advice to give me.

Anyway... the situation is that when I turn on my computer I get to "OS X Utilities", I try to install, it doesn't work, I turn it off, I turn it back on, etc...

Thank you in advance for your help.

P.S.: I don't know much about computers.

Hello,

Everything is explained in these two messages:

Even if you're not great with computers, you should be able to do it.
