Hello,
I have a big problem. When I turn on my laptop running Windows Vista, a blue screen with messages appears. Then, when I restart my computer, I am asked to choose between starting normally or launching the restart assistant. When I launch the restart assistant, it tells me that the startup could not repair this computer. And when I select start normally, I end up back on that blue screen.
I am attaching a photo of the blue screen and a photo of the message that says the assistant could not repair the computer.
Thank you for your help.
Jules

You need to check if you have a recovery partition on the machine by tapping F5 or F8... but using it would overwrite everything on your hard drive!
Do you have anything in your drives, like a memory card, CD, DVD, floppy disk, USB stick...?

Good evening everyone,
I finally reset my PC and it’s working fine now; I no longer have that blue screen at startup.
Thanks to you all.

Hello;.
Try.
When you start your PC, press the F8 key and select safe mode.
You are advised to scan your system for viruses and also run a chkdsk because your hard drive might be damaged.
You can also try pressing the F2 key at startup and booting from the hard drive in the BIOS.
Who loves learning! find the knowledge that comes from reflection!
PS. Frequently create a restore point! it solves quite a few problems.-
Good evening, I tried your safe mode solution with F8 but the PC keeps telling me "windows had been shut down" always on the blue background. However, I can't find how to boot from the Harddrive under F2.
Please let me know how to do this or give me another solution if possible.
Thank you in advance.

Hello...
Try removing the battery, unplugging the power supply, holding down the power button for 30 seconds... you release it, plug in only the power supply and start it...
Best regards,
See you later

How did you reset it... with the recovery partition or not?
