Question

Hello,
This question has already been asked and I haven't found any solution.
This device worked well on wXp, but I have a new PC running W8.1 64 bits and I tried to load the CD for the drivers without success (failure), I also tried Windows compatibility, same result, even the drivers for W7 64 bits... nothing
So if anyone has managed to get this thing working, thank you in advance for letting me know the procedure you used.

Hello,
I came across the STK1160 Grabber driver that I downloaded on my PC and I can see it under "Audio, Video and Game Controllers", but not under "Image Acquisition Devices".
Everything is properly connected and when I launch the image acquisition program "Begin-Professional Video Recorder (unlicensed)", I can select "Tools-Options" USB2.0 Grabber.
I start my VCR connected to a movie, but my screen remains black, being on Input.
If anyone has any troubleshooting ideas, I would appreciate it, thanks in advance.

If I understand correctly, Yakaplus needs to buy another acquisition key that works with W8.1 and if I switch to W10, the problem is likely to recur.
W=crap, some are not mistaken.
The issue that causes this malfunction may come from the fact that the software included on the CD "Ulead Videostudio" gives me an error message when starting up: "Unable to initialize the application - the screen resolution is too small to play the video - the screen resolution must be at least 1024x768."
However, if it's about my PC's screen resolution, it is 1440x900
so I don't understand anything
one lead might be to see if there’s a version of this software compatible with W8.1

AVS Video Recorder is not free I believe, but it's video editing software, so anyway, you still need a capture key.
That doesn’t solve my problem.

Hello,
I downloaded AVS Video Converter 9.1 for a taste, the problem is that I don't see which button I should click to connect this software to my capture system.
In the big grey line, I see "Favorites, inactive, Apple, Android, Samsung, Sony, consoles, players, Palm, Edit, Menu inactive, Settings, and About."
In "Settings," "Devices," I have the list "Favorites inactive," and the list of the devices mentioned above. So it's stuck.
I cannot find my STK 116 anywhere. Can you tell me where I should click to connect this program to my device? Thanks.

Seen with Recorder, my reception device is well defined, I set it to SECAM, but there is neither image nor sound. Black screen. So the conclusion is my device is useless, I will therefore look into acquiring another one.

Eureka, for those who have had my problem
I uninstalled everything again
On the CD, I copied the "Driver Setup" file to the desktop
I left-clicked on "Properties" "Compatibility" "Compatibility mode" and I chose "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)"
and OK
Then, I right-clicked on the "Setup" folder and then "Run as Administrator" beforehand, set to "Input" on the conversion box "AV/Composite-S-Video
The drivers installed and my "USB 2.0 Grabber" is recognized in "Sound, video and game controllers",
I launched AVS Video Recorder, after adjusting "Secam L", I have sound and image, but in black and white via the Composite Video input, I will look for an S-Video extension, I think this should improve the image and thus recover the color. To be continued.
