Hello,
I have a problem with my MacBook Pro 5,3 model 2009 running MacOS X Mountain Lion 10.8 while trying to install Windows 7 using a bootable USB drive since my DVD drive is not working and ejects any inserted DVD. Anyway, I created a bootable USB drive for Windows 7 using Bootcamp, I downloaded the Windows drivers (also from Bootcamp), but when I check to install Windows 7 --> continue --> I slide my cursor to partition my disk and when I click on "install," an error occurs: "The installation disk cannot be found": Insert the installation disk for Windows and wait a moment for the disk to be recognized.... (Yet my goal is to install using a USB drive and not via an installation disk.
I tried another option I found online: I downloaded "Paragon," which allows you to format a partition on your disk with the NTFS format. Then, I restarted my Mac by holding down the (Option) key, I chose to boot from my USB drive that contains Windows (strangely it was named EFI boot) but everything starts off well, but when I want to install Windows on the NTFS partition I created on MacOS, I get the message that: Windows cannot be installed on this disk, the selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed on GPT disks.

Problem solved!
I finally managed to install Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro.
1- Download rEFIt: http://refit.sourceforge.net/
2- Install it on Mac OS X
3- Create your bootable USB drive using a bootable USB creation software, I recommend (ISO to USB): http://www.isotousb.com/
4- Restart your Mac and hold down the (Option) Alt key.
5- Choose rEFIt then go to the icon far right (Boot with Wininstall) ... The Windows installation will begin.
6- When prompted to choose a disk for installation, click on your disk and then click delete (very important otherwise it won't work), then it will become free space, click on the disk --> New --> Apply and finally click Next to start the installation.
7- Your PC will restart to complete the Windows installation. Remember to stay near the Mac to press "Alt" when it restarts and choose Windows (without going through rEFIt).
There you go, your Windows is up and running. Hope I helped some people.
If you have any questions, feel free to comment and I will respond.
