How to re-enable BIOS settings via AMERICAN MEGATRENDS?

Question

Hello,  Using a PC for a few years now, I am encountering a problem as soon as I turn it on. The following message appears:  "Please enter Setup to recover Bios setting" www.ami.com  Ignoring it, I can still open it, but I have to reset the date and time every time.  I went to that site, but not being very "Pro", I didn’t really understand how to solve this problem.  So what should I do?  Thank you!  Pitipanda

If it's a desktop, you generally need to remove the right side panel when looking from the back, and you can see it against the motherboard.. it's a "button" battery CR2032 with a diameter of 20 mm and a thickness of 3.2 mm... be careful to put the new one in the same orientation, generally the + is visible and the - is therefore against the motherboard... if it's a laptop, it's really much harder to locate and change, it's often necessary to disassemble a good part of the machine....!  -- "Who wants to climb a mountain starts from the bottom!"
