Hello,
I can't get my Wii balance board to work with the Wii Fit game that comes with the board. However, I was able to do it until today. When I try to play, at the moment I'm asked to press the power button on the board
the following message appears: "Step down from the board and press A." I press A and the same message appears; it does the same with other games that require the board. I tried to reset it and it doesn't change anything. Has anyone else had this problem?

Well, when your controllers or your scale are flashing, just press the red button next to the batteries of your controllers or your scale for 1 to 2 seconds, then press the red button next to the CD slot (there's a small box, open it and you'll find the SD card reader as well as the red button), then wait! And that's it!

too good... used equipment works great but no instructions thank you
Same problem,
Since last night, the scale is no longer working.
It stopped during endurance step, without jumping on it, of course, and since then, the same message as above, please step off the scale and press A.
Help everyone, does anyone have a solution???
I think we are a pair above waiting for the solution that will save us... now that I had decided to use it again to get back into some sports :-)
Ps: same as above, the scale test says everything is ok!!!

I just called Nintendo support and they had me try a few things that didn’t work... obviously!
They told me to send in my Wii Balance Board and that it will be repaired for the modest sum of $55 Canadian. Since the problem didn’t seem to bother the lady who answered me too much, and she told me that they will certainly fix it, I’m a bit skeptical. It feels like a setup: they know the issue, but want to make more money.
Anyway, for now I can't use my board since it’s asking me to step on it while I’m not even standing on it!

Yeah, it’s the same for me and I diagnosed the problem when she told me "please step off the scale and press a,"
I lifted the scale
and asked my sister to press a and it worked.
So the problem seems to come from the pads
I opened the pad and saw that it was an induction sensor.
Could it be dead?
For your information, I tried to test the scale in the Wii Fit Plus settings
and it told me everything is fine.
Please help me.

Good evening, I unlocked mine by chance, here are my different steps:
I put in the Wii Fit Plus game
entered the settings (tested the board)
then entered the Wii settings
changed the order of the controllers
synchronized the controller
and then the board
exited the settings
and tested the board
and there you go, I don't know if it's the solution but it worked for me
good luck and let me know if it works for you too
see you later!

My Wii balance board is not working anymore, I tried to turn it on while there are batteries, what should I do?
To turn on the balance, you need to insert a compatible game. Once the game is on, if your balance doesn't power on, either the batteries are dead, or it needs to be resynchronized. To do this, there is a red button under the balance; press it and then release it. On the front of the Wii console, there is another red button; press it, and the balance's power light will start to blink. It will then stay lit, and the console will work again.
Instead of spouting misspelled nonsense, please respond to the topic.
I had the same problem as described in the first message, namely: "please step off the scale and press A" even when I wasn't on it, and this was the case for all the games requiring the board.
I tried various suggested solutions with no result.
But I found a solution.
I thought that if the scale thought I was on it, there must be some pressure being applied. I then removed the protective plastic from my scale, and it started working again.
The plastic must have been too tight and was pressing on a sensor of the scale.

I solved the problem without having to send it for repair. It's simply a matter of unscrewing the 4 sensors of the scale.
1) Unscrew the 3 screws
2) Remove the plastic cover and the round cover
3) Unscrew the screw of the metal plate with a Torx screwdriver (star)
4) Then screw it back in without tightening it as much as it was
Do this at all 4 corners and there you go, your problem is solved!!!

Hello, I have the same problem as you and I would like to know if anyone has found a solution to this issue. One thing is for sure, when we open Wifit or Wifit Plus, where there are the little characters at the beginning, on the top right there is an icon of a key to enter and test the balance. I did that and the tests tell me everything is fine. I also tried unplugging, resynchronizing, and nothing works, I'm still getting the same message: "Get off the scale and press A." And I step off the scale and it still says that. If anyone has a solution or has resolved this problem, thank you for sharing it with us.
I finally found a solution!
When he says to go down, I turn the Wii around, I press A, and then I put it back to normal.
It's a bit annoying, but it works!!
I only have the problem with Wii Sports :(

I let the Wiimote desynchronize
then I synced the Wiifit balance when it said connection lost, and then pressed A again and both worked again.

Me, for one, my controllers turn on and off, they don't stay on, and for two, when the Wii Fit game tells me to turn on the Balance Board, well, it doesn't even blink blue, nothing, I don't put in batteries, I charge it, and the little button next to it is red, so I think it's not COMPLETELY charged, but it is still charged, and when I try, nothing...
Can someone help me??
Oh, and underneath the balance board, there's an "on" or "off" button, what is it for?
Does it concern the batteries or the rechargeable battery?
Thank you for helping me

For anyone whose balance board is flashing and turns off immediately, go to the Nintendo page instead of reading nonsense. The tip not to miss when you sync the balance board with the Wii is to do it once after clicking start, otherwise it won't work!!!!! Feel free to follow the link and go through the steps one by one!!!
Hello, I'm selling my Wii balance board and the lady says she doesn't want to move to the left? What can I do to make it work to the left again?
Are you getting off the scale at least?
Otherwise, the sensors are dead!
Don't put anything on it, they say!
So we're not doing that

Why do something simply when you can do it the complicated way?

because they are...
not even an ounce of reflection...
on the road...
, wow the sales! let’s rush...
to get brand-name products in bulk when it adds nothing more than tap water...
wow! I’m saving money by buying something I didn't need but that's -20% off...
I believe in Santa Claus...
I trust a guy from the other side of the world, but I’m as wary of my neighbor next door as I am of the plague...
there's no shortage of examples...

Why do you think people are idiots? If it says to step down from the scale, then I step down from the scale. It says not to jump on the scale, so I don't jump. And yes, I have a brain, and I try to use it for the benefit of others instead of thinking they're idiots.
I have a personal motto: when you act like an idiot, you stay one.
That's what you prove by having that reasoning.

after asking on the forum why an electronic device is no longer working and how to repair it, it's stupid...
in that case, we go through customer service!
because go repair the circuit board of your Wii balance board yourself...
unless you know high precision electronics... you might as well hang on to the tree...
