Watercooling AM3+ on AM3 motherboard

Hello,

I have an Asus M4A88TD-V EVO USB3 motherboard with an AM3 socket.
My CPU cooler is blowing a lot, so I wanted to switch to water cooling. I found the LEPA AquaChanger 120, which is not too expensive and should suit me, but it is compatible with AM3+ socket (among others). I wanted to know if it is compatible with the AM3 socket or if it is completely different. And for about the same price, would the Cooler Master Seidon 120V V2 be a better choice (my case is well-ventilated, I play a bit but not heavy games, Minecraft, Rocket League...)

    Yes, AM3 or AM3+ has the same mounting for cooling.

    That said, what cooler do you currently have? If it's the stock one, a more efficient air cooler will be more than enough. What is your processor, and at what frequency does it run?

      I have no idea what cooler I have, but I think it's the stock one. I bought the computer from someone who didn't seem to know much about computers... My processor is an AMD Phenom II X4 955 running at 3.2 GHz.
      Actually, I don’t particularly want water cooling; an air cooler would be just fine. I'm just looking for something very quiet that isn't too expensive because right now it feels like I'm next to a microwave as soon as I start the computer ^^

        You have no need for water cooling with a 955BE at stock frequency. If your stock cooler is making noise, it's because, like all stock coolers, it is not very effective.

        A Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo (around €25) or Hyper 212 Evo (around €35) will do the job depending on the size of the case.

        Be careful to measure the distance between the back of the processor and the removable panel of the case or possibly the side fan if there is one; the 212 Evo is approximately 160mm tall.
