How to connect a Wi-Fi card without a PCI slot

Hello everyone,

I bought a TP-Link TL-WDN4800 network card, and my problem is the following: I just realized that I don't have a PCI slot on my ASUS H81 M-E motherboard!
Is there a solution? I really want to add a Wi-Fi card to my PC, as I have a USB key but the signal is very weak.

    There are 2 PCI-E slots on this motherboard.
    What's the problem? Are they already in use?

      PCI and PCI-E 1x are not the same thing, the person asking the question needs to keep that in mind...

      The card is indeed in PCI-E 1x, so it should be fine unless there is a double slot graphics card in front of the PCI-E port(s), that doesn't help ^^

    I'm sorry, I don't have much skill in computing and PC hardware, which explains why I registered on the site!
    All the PCI ports are indeed taken, however, I just realized that I have a free PCI EXPRESS X1, which should allow me to connect the wifi card.

      All PCI ports are indeed taken.

      It was explained to you that your motherboard does not have PCI ports, but 2 PCI-Express 1X ports. As mentioned, there is a difference between PCI and PCI-Express. You can put your WIFI card in the second PCI-Express 1X port, the one furthest from the PCI-Express 16X port.

      I only have one PCI-Express 1X slot available because the card connected to the PCI-Express 16X slot is blocking the second PCI-Express 1X slot!
      Can you explain to me please why it's better to be as far away as possible? Is it a matter of heat?
      Thank you all for your valuable advice; for the record, this morning when I woke up I didn't even know what a PCI slot was!!

      And even if it were free, it would give you the option to install a dual-slot graphics card that takes up 2 slots.
