Hello,
I am reaching out to share a problem I have been encountering recently, for which I cannot find a solution.
I purchased an SSD (Sandisk SSD Plus - 240 Go) to replace an old SSD that had become too small. I installed it along with my OS (W7 pro) and a few games. Since then, my PC crashes regularly while I'm gaming; my screens go black for about a second, but the audio continues to play, then everything shuts down and the audio bugs out. I monitor my temperatures with SpeedFan, and nothing is getting too high, except maybe my GPU at 60°?
Here is my configuration:
PROCESSOR
Processor model Intel Core i7 2600K
Number of cores 4
Frequency 3.40 GHz
Cooling Corsair CWC-H60
GRAPHICS CARD
MSI GEFORCE GTX 970 GAMING 4G
MEMORY
Brand of memory modules G.Skill
Type of memory DIMM DDR3
Amount of integrated memory 8192 Mo (8 Go)
Number of modules 2
Frequency PC12800
MOTHERBOARD
Brand of motherboard Asus
Motherboard model P8P67 Pro Rev 3.0
Socket 1155
Chipset Intel P67
Memory slots 4
STORAGE
Total capacity 1000 Go for data and 60 Go for the system
Hard drive 1 Samsung Spinpoint F3 - 1000 Go
Hard drive 2 None
Hard drive 3 None
RAID system No
SSD
SSD Sandisk 240G
CASE
Brand Cooler Master
Model HAF X
Provided fans 4
Additional slots 2
Dimensions 230 x 590 x 550 mm
POWER SUPPLY
Brand Seasonic
Model X-Series
Power 660 Watts
Certification 80+ Gold
Modular Yes
I don't know if my SSD is to blame, if the problem is software-related, or if another component of the PC needs to be replaced.
Is there a way to test it?
Thank you in advance for your thoughts
Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 45.0.2454.99

Hello
The way to test that comes to mind would be to put the old SSD back in to see if the problem persists.
