Have you tested in Windows 7 compatibility mode, or even XP? However, from my experience during the time I used it on XP (before warming myself on the ice floe), I often complained that Money required updates for Internet Explorer. I deduce that if Money no longer works now, it is mainly due to the version of IE being incompatible with Money.

Can’t you switch to third-party solutions like Grisbi (a GPL licensed and free software)?

Another solution: virtualize Windows to either use Money, or at least recover your data from Money so you can export it to use with an alternative application.
