Hello,
After improperly disconnecting my hard drive (Seagate) while backing up my MacBook Air, it no longer appears on my desktop or in Disk Utility. I tested it on my old Mac, and it shows up fine.
I downloaded Wondershare Data Recovery to recover partitions as suggested by some forums, but I don't quite understand what to do after two partitions appear, and I don't even know if I'm on the right track...
Could someone please help me :) ?
Thank you in advance
Configuration: Mac OS X (10.10.5) / Safari 8.0.8

Good evening,
The software you downloaded is meant to recover data that has been accidentally deleted. In this case, it is of no use.
We need to know the format of this hard drive and what type of backup was in progress (cloning, Time Machine, simple copy-paste...?)
Initially, since a Mac can read it, use this second Mac to repair the disk using Disk Utility (Applications / Utilities...)
Then, on your Mac that can no longer read it, reset its management unit to ensure that the USB ports are functioning properly:
https://support.apple.com/fr-fr/HT201295
Moreover, (this applies to externally powered portable drives connected via USB), knowing that some Macs provide varying amounts of power through the USB ports, it would be advisable to connect this drive not directly to the Mac but through a powered USB HUB.
Additionally, there are special USB cables with 2 USB connectors on the computer side and one USB connector on the external drive side, designed to provide greater power.

Thank you very much for your response!! I stopped at the USB reset, my Mac still does not recognize the external hard drive. The format is Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and it was a Time Machine backup, could that change anything? Because otherwise, I don’t understand why my Mac would deliver less power right after improperly ejecting my hard drive.

A poor ejection of the disk while the USB port is in use can affect the operation of the port afterwards. And if the port is limited in current, this can cause such issues. Sometimes, even Firewire ports (on Macs that are equipped with them) may become unresponsive after an incident. In these cases, resetting the Mac's management unit (SMC) can restore normal operation.
If the disk is recognized on another Mac, it means it is functional. If it was a disk used by Time Machine, do not touch the backup folder contained within it.
If resetting the SMC did not work,
assuming that the problem is then software-related, attempt to repair the disk of your Mac after booting from its recovery partition. (This is a system repair). See the method here:

Good luck.
