Good evening everyone,
I am trying to read the KNOWN.MET file from Emule (the file that records the different files we have downloaded), I tried to open it with Notepad but I get incomprehensible lines of text!
Is there another software to read/decode it...?
Thank you

you have to wait for the metmedic update. (I also use emule 0.48a...)
you might have an alternative here: http://ww1.emule-zenzone.com/telechargement-fichier5.html
I haven't tested it, try to see if it works for you, I'm going to zzZZZzzzz ^^ good night, I'll reply tomorrow morning if you ask me a question ^^

Hi, download this and extract what's inside with winrar, winzip... :

See you+

You double click on 'EdkCom1.0.21.exe' and install it!
It indeed allows you to edit the files .met:
- Known.met
- clients.met
- server.met
- part.met
It should work to read known.met.

I installed it, but then I can't read the file
I point to the file "known.met" and I click "view", but nothing happens... :(

Oh, sorry, I gave you the wrong utility!
This one is the right one: http://ww1.emule-zenzone.com/telechargement-fichier6.html
Easy to use: click on open at the top left and you will be able to read your file.

To install it, extract all the files into a folder and double-click on 'MetMedic.exe'.
Sorry for the blunder ^^

When I click on the .exe, it asks me for my Dell CD...
But I read this in a text file from the extracted folder:
1. Unpack the files.
2. Copy the DLL of your choice to somewhere in your search path, so
that your applications can find it.
IMPORTANT: The aamd532.dll DLL MUST be somewhere in your search path
for this to work
3. Insert the BAS module in your VB projects.
4. Call the wrapper functions as needed.
Is point 2 related to the fact that it asks me for my Dell CD? This story is curious.

Hello Chak,
I tried eMule at least 3 times, along with 2 of my friends, and we all gave up in front of the complexity of this software. I don't understand why no one talks about "LimeWire," a P2P file program that has proven itself for several years. It is by far the easiest to install, the most convenient, and the most comprehensive. Furthermore, it is free of viruses and spyware. You know, I used it at the beginning for almost 2 years without any protection; I had neither antivirus nor anti-spyware on my computer, and I never had a problem. LimeWire 4.12 (the latest version) is an internationally known software and probably has the largest selection in terms of music and video clips. You just have to ignore the .exe formats.

Hi, you need to put all the files in the same location (for example c:\metmedic\) and only then double-click on metmedic.exe. You should not run it from the .zip archive but extract all the files into the same folder.
Well, I put in my "dell resource" CD (it's strange that it's asking me for this) and apparently it's working, I have some sort of spreadsheet that appears but with nothing written in it
What should I do?
What should I do?
Click on the top left on the icon with a folder and look for your known.met file, then click on the bottom left on process and everything should normally display in the spreadsheet. If you have an error, it means your .met is not supported due to your version of eMule (like mine ^^) and you'll need to wait for an update of the app.
