Hello everyone, so here’s my problem!
I've been playing The Sims 3 on my computer for over a year. I have additional disks like Island Paradise, Into the Future, and the Katy Perry expansion. But I have a big issue! I'm going to change my computer; I will have it soon and I would like to continue playing! But how do I play on my other PC? I would like to start my game on the new computer just like I left it on the old one. Please help me, I really love this game and I've made a lot of progress!
Thank you for your responses, it would help me immensely.

Hello,

Copy the Electronic Arts folder located in your "documents" folder to a USB stick, for example.
It contains your saves, your downloaded objects...

You need to install The Sims 3 with the same expansion packs on your other PC
THEN replace the Electronic Arts folder located in "documents" with YOUR Electronic Arts folder.

Be careful to install the same games as on the old PC.
If you want to install a new expansion pack, that can be done once you have copied your saves folder and have at least launched your game afterwards.

Hi there, thank you very much for your reply! But I have one more little question :) I've read on many forums that there is a problem reinstalling the Sims 3 disk because the code has already been used once, and when we enter it again, it says "product code already used." Do you know what we should do in this case? Thank you in advance!

No, it’s not a problem. The message "product code already used" appears when people try to re-register the game, usually because they are not on the correct Origin account, even though it's not necessary; once registered, the game is permanently in the game library.

Is it enough for me to just insert my Sims 3 disc and then connect to Origin? Or do I connect directly to Origin? I'm really bad at anything related to going into documents, sorry in advance! Thank you for your answer.

Here I'm only talking about the reinstallation, you just need to log in to the same Origin account that you used the first time.
For recovering backups, you need to do as explained in the other messages.

Oh yes, I'm the one who misunderstood, sorry! I just need to log in? No need to insert the disk?

Hello sysy,

Unfortunately, you will need to reinstall your game on your new computer.
However, it is possible to transfer your game save to your new computer!
I recommend some reading:

Hello, first of all thank you for your reply. But do you know how I should reinstall it? Because I have read on many forums that it often causes a problem, it says that the product code is already in use. What should I do then? Thank you in advance.

Hello. To keep your backup, you can download GameSave Manager
Then turn it on and make a backup!

Why install additional software when the manual manipulation is simple? Copy-pasting isn't that hard...

Thanks to you Tiralia, I understood the transfers! I'm a bit more troubled with the installation :/

I saw, but this isn't my area; I'm for games that you don't have to sync online. The good old game that runs with a good old CD or DVD locally. Gaming platforms like Steam or Origin often require you to be connected to the internet even for local play. It annoys me ^^
Plus, we're dependent on them. The proof is, you own the CDs, the license key, so you have everything you need to install and play, except that if Origin bugs, then you can't play...

That's exactly it! And it's really shameful given the price we pay for each game! Now I'm really in a bind because my Origin account doesn't have any games even though I've always purchased them!
