Hello everyone, so here’s my problem!
I've been playing The Sims 3 on my computer for over a year. I have additional disks like Island Paradise, Into the Future, and the Katy Perry expansion. But I have a big issue! I'm going to change my computer; I will have it soon and I would like to continue playing! But how do I play on my other PC? I would like to start my game on the new computer just like I left it on the old one. Please help me, I really love this game and I've made a lot of progress!
Thank you for your responses, it would help me immensely.

Hello,
Copy the Electronic Arts folder located in your "documents" folder to a USB stick, for example.
It contains your saves, your downloaded objects...
You need to install The Sims 3 with the same expansion packs on your other PC
THEN replace the Electronic Arts folder located in "documents" with YOUR Electronic Arts folder.
Be careful to install the same games as on the old PC.
If you want to install a new expansion pack, that can be done once you have copied your saves folder and have at least launched your game afterwards.

Hello sysy,
Unfortunately, you will need to reinstall your game on your new computer.
However, it is possible to transfer your game save to your new computer!
I recommend some reading:

Hello. To keep your backup, you can download GameSave Manager
Then turn it on and make a backup!

I saw, but this isn't my area; I'm for games that you don't have to sync online. The good old game that runs with a good old CD or DVD locally. Gaming platforms like Steam or Origin often require you to be connected to the internet even for local play. It annoys me ^^
Plus, we're dependent on them. The proof is, you own the CDs, the license key, so you have everything you need to install and play, except that if Origin bugs, then you can't play...

For recovering backups, you need to do as explained in the other messages.
