Enable the wireless network adapter on Toshiba laptop

Hi everyone
I just bought a new Toshiba Satellite C55-B5100 laptop
it came with Windows 8 but I installed Windows 7
I can't connect to the Wi-Fi anymore because I can't see my network card in the Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections menu
what can I do please
do I need to install a driver?

    Good evening.

    Often, if the network card does not appear in: "Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center and Change adapter settings", one might indeed think that the wireless internet connection is not installed.

    If that is the case for you, you will need to install it.
