Unable to Boot from USB on Toshiba Satellite

Hello,

I launched a full reset on a Toshiba Satellite L50t-A-146. After three hours of waiting, it displays the following message in white on a blue background:
"Recovery
Your PC needs to be repaired
The boot configuration data for your PC is missing or contains errors.
File:\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD
Error code: 0xc000000f
You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have any installation media (like a Disc or USB device), contact your system administrator or PC manufacturer.
Press ESC for UEFI firmware settings. "
Not having any DVD or bootable USB stick for Windows 8, I sent a message to Toshiba, which only offered to send my PC back for repair at a cost of €128...

Since I have access to another PC running Windows 8, I created a USB stick.
I then pressed ESC to reach the setup. I changed the boot order to start from the USB stick and... the computer restarts with the same message, thus booting from the hard drive. I read in a previous post that I needed to modify the HDD/SSD Password mode in security to master+User, which I did. I then went to Advanced and System Configuration to change the Boot Mode to CSM instead of UEFI Boot, but the option is greyed out and locked!
Since I have a Windows 7 DVD, I thought I would reboot from that DVD, but the boot options do not allow it!
Of course, I sent an email to Toshiba's technical support asking how to unlock booting from USB, but strangely I haven't received a response.
If anyone has already solved this problem, please let me know. Otherwise, I only have the option left to remove the hard drive and "fix it up" with Windows 7 from a desktop PC, but that's another story...
Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Finally, the Toshiba technical service told me how to change the setup:
1. With the machine off, hold down the "F2" key and turn on the machine to access the "Setup" menu
2. Go to the "Security" menu, then "Secure Boot," and select "Disabled"
3. Go to the "Advanced" menu, then "System Configuration," then "Boot Mode," and select "CSM Boot"
4. Press F10 to save and exit the "Setup"

By doing this, we can choose to boot with a USB key or a Windows DVD.
If this can help anyone who has this problem...

Some Toshibas will only boot from your USB stick if it is formatted in UEFI mode. You need to format it with software like Rufus, more explanation here on a good site:

Just need to uncheck fast boot (in one of the tabs) to install your Linux peacefully...

Good evening,

Thank you very much, I had been struggling for an hour and a half to start with the USB stick, but with your little guide it works great.
