Hello!

I have a friend who is in need and I wanted to know if I could use the Windows CD that came with my PC multiple times :)

    Good evening,

    Of course, you can use the installation CDs as many times as you want, but your friend needs to have a serial number (activation key) for the installation to be completed :)

    The Windows installation CDs are not tied to a specific serial number. In fact, there are legally downloadable ISO versions of Windows available online :)

      As pointed out by titou, he needs his own (paid) license number, so avoid giving him yours even if he says it's not a big deal.

      So if I understand correctly, I need to find another serial number online? But what happens if I don't activate it?

        No, just give him the CDs, without him being able to see your serial number! Otherwise he could use it and your Windows would become unusable.
