Unable to switch to HDMI PS3 FAT 60GB

Hello

Before anyone tells me to look into the troubleshooting, if I'm posting a question, it's because I have tried in vain but it doesn't work.

When I got my console, it was working perfectly, but after my TV died, I connected it to an old one via SCART.
After that, I stored it for a year (no time to play), and for the past month, I bought a new LG Full HD TV and an HDMI cable, but I can't get it to switch to HDMI. I've been struggling for 3 weeks, and I don't know much about this area. Have there been any issues with HDMI ports on these consoles?

      Thank you for this response, tried in vain but it doesn't work, it resets because the format returns to 4:3, but it's impossible to go to HDMI, it shows no signal as usual!!!
      It's frustrating :(

      Unplug your SCART cable and try again; sometimes you have to insist.
      You should get a message saying an HDMI device has been detected ...

      Sometimes, also on certain stubborn TVs, turning it off and back on after making the adjustments works (if you select the HDMI source on the TV, of course).

      Thank you, but it's still a failure. However, when I turn on the console and go to the "input" button, the HDMI port is detected, but I can't switch to HDMI when I'm on the SCART in the display settings!!!
