Hello,
I am currently in the process of writing (and finishing) my thesis. I have one last problem with my Word document.
I created a section break (next page) to insert a landscape page in the middle of my portrait pages.
In my Word document, there is no problem.
In the print preview, two blank pages surround my landscape page. If I try to click on them, I get a "forbidden" panel.
When I print, those two blank pages are printed.
When I save it as a PDF, I still have those two blank pages.
Do you know how to fix this issue, which is offsetting my entire printing?
Thank you for your responses.

Hello,
Click on the landscape page and check in the "Page Setup" dialog, "Layout" tab if you haven't set the section to start on an "Odd Page" in the "Section Start" list.
In that case, to honor your choice, Word automatically adds the necessary pages but only during printing. You won't have access to this.
If that's the case, select "New Page" for this section and everything should be back to normal.

I do have a section break (next page) on the page before the landscape one, and another section break (next page) on the landscape page.
Nothing else in between...
C-Claire, it is indeed "new page" that is selected in section start...
What is surprising is that I only see it in the print preview... and I get this "prohibited" icon when I hover over it.
While on the "correct" pages, I have a magnifying glass icon appearing...

Yes, that's exactly what you get when starting a section on an even or odd page, depending on the desired choice. There may be another option that causes the same thing. Was the cursor indeed on the Landscape page when you checked the layout?
Can you upload an excerpt of your document (you can remove the content to leave only what makes the problem visible) on https://www.cjoint.com/
and come back to share the link here?

Click on the ¶ tool to display typographical signs; this should help you spot where you have two section breaks ...

Thank you for responding to my post.
I finally found another solution. I set my page back to portrait and did a text insertion that I rotated...
It's "makeshift," but at least it worked!
Thanks again!

Hello lalyenaelle,
Your solution is much better than inserting section breaks. When you can do without them, it's definitely better for several reasons.
The first is that section breaks are difficult to manage in Word. The second is that headers and footers default to the orientation of the page. And when you print and bind a document with both orientations, you end up with a footer on the right and a header on the left for landscape pages!
