Stop seeing {page\*Mergeformat} when printing

Hello
When I want to insert a page number, {page\*Mergeformat} appears. I press alt+F9 and the number shows up, but when I preview it, {page\*Mergeformat} is on the document and also when printing. How can I stop seeing {page\*Mergeformat} when printing?

    Hello,

    You need to uncheck 'Print field codes instead of their values' in the print options.
