Hello,
I am clearly desperate about a problem that complicates my life.
Whenever I insert an image into a Word document and try to resize it or make any adjustments, I CONSTANTLY find myself automatically returned to the first page, even if I am on the 30th page of my document.
I then have to go back and find my page to continue making my edits, which wastes a considerable amount of my time in addition to my patience.
If anyone has understood my problem and has a solution to help me, I would be grateful. It would greatly facilitate the formatting of my lessons!!
Thank you in advance.

In your document, click on the Insert tab, then on Image. In the window that opens, select the image you want to insert, double-click on your image, then adjust it to the desired format and edit it as you wish in color, etc. by right-clicking on the image, then selecting Image Format or Size depending on what you need to do.
Have a nice Sunday.

Which version of Word (at what update level) and which version of Mac OS X is being referred to? What wrapping mode was chosen?
This was a recurring issue with Word, but it seems to have disappeared over the course of updates.

First of all, point one: you should be on version 12.3.6 (and have been for a while, since this ultimate update was released over two years ago). In other words, you need to download and install updates 12.1.0, then 12.2.0, and finally 12.3.6.
Tip (essential): for the 12.1.0 update, you must disconnect all network access, change the date to a date in 2010, install the update, reset the current date, restart the Mac, and ensure that you have reactivated the network connections.
Once your version is up to date, we'll be able to talk because frankly, running an outdated and unupdated version will only lead to difficulties.
To adjust the wrap of an image in Word 2008, you need to, once the image is selected, right-click and select "Format Picture...," then click on the "little dog" icon (Layout) and choose the wrap that suits you. You can set the default choice in Word preferences, under the "Editing" tab > "Insert/paste pictures as:"
