Unable to install DirectX CAB archive

Hello,

I would like to install DirectX, but when I launch the installation, I'm getting an error message "A required CAB archive for installation could not be verified. Please ensure that cryptographic services are enabled and that the certificate for the CAB file is valid." I've looked online but can't find anything to resolve my issue.

I should mention that I have Win 7 64-bit Pro edition, my graphics card drivers are up to date, and Windows Update is updated as well. I tried to install it manually, but I'm still getting the same message. Is there a way to check if DirectX is already installed on the computer? Because I can't find anything in "System32."

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Hi,

It seems that DirectX is automatically provided with Windows Update, so you don't need to update it manually.

I don't know if it's installed, I can't find anything. When launching a game, I received an error message saying that XINPUT1_3.DLL is missing. I looked it up online and saw that it's related to installing DirectX, which is the source of my problem. Where can I check if DirectX is properly installed?
