Hello everyone!
So, I have a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E520 running Windows 7 (64-bit) that I would like to reset to factory settings.
I don't have the Windows installation CD, so I've downloaded the Lenovo Rescue and Recovery software, but it hasn't found any recovery partition on my computer.
So if you know how to help me, I would be happy to hear your method.
Thank you.

Hello;
To reset a Lenovo ThinkPad, ThinkPads
have a hidden utility that restores the computer to its original state. The "Rescue and Recovery" program eliminates the need for a portable recovery CD. Resetting your ThinkPad involves wiping the hard drive and reinstalling the drive image with the original software and operating system of the computer.
Instructions
Click on "Start." Select "Shut Down" to turn off your ThinkPad.
Wait five seconds, then press the "Power" button to turn on your computer.
Press the blue "ThinkVantage" button when prompted during the boot process. The screen will display "To interrupt normal startup, press the blue ThinkVantage button."
Click on "System Recovery" then "Rescue and Recovery."
Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your ThinkPad to its factory settings. The prompts on the screen will vary depending on the ThinkPad model and the version of "Rescue and Recovery" installed on your computer.
Best regards.

My Lenovo doesn't have a ThinkVantage key, but I found a way to access the menu using the F7 or F8 keys. I then selected "repair the computer," and it offered me several choices, including: "Lenovo Product Recovery: restore my computer hard drive to its original state (factory settings)." So I selected this menu, but when I start the reset, it says: "Product Recovery: Backup files not found." So I moved forward, but I'm still stuck; however, thank you for your advice.
