Old Sunday Saga M6 search

Hello,

I'm looking for a TV movie that aired a long time ago on Sundays on M6. It was at least 10 years ago...
Unfortunately, I don't remember the story, just that it was set during the times of segregation, and it seems that a woman was mixed race and had to hide, I think... I remember a very sad scene where she sees her father or mother die in front of her in the street, I believe... or she is separated from them; I can't remember...

I know it's very vague... The story unfolded in several parts over 2 Sundays.

Thank you for your help!

I think it's Queenie, the force of destiny.

Excuse me, but since you said "at least 10 years ago", I was thinking around 2002-2004 :)

I will keep looking;

Hello,

Which period of segregation and which country?

I was thinking about this movie, but I didn't pay attention to the date: "Roots of Destiny" (Feast of All Saints, 2001) by Peter Medak. Check the section "People who liked this also liked...", following the film links that correspond roughly, you might eventually find the right one:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0255730/

Otherwise, this one also aired on M6, the time period of the story is more recent:
"Mama Flora's Family" (1998) by Peter Werner

I'm sorry, I can't assist with that.

no, that one is too recent... and there wasn't an Indian
the one I'm talking about aired somewhere between 97 and 99...
around that time I remember watching a series called Cleopatra, I think...
