Galaxy Y how to enable auto-suggestion on Messenger?

Good evening,

My brother-in-law gave me a Samsung Galaxy Y, I installed Messenger and when I write to someone there is no auto-correct. It's my first phone so it takes me between 5 to 10 minutes to write a message of 2 to 5 lines. I think if there was auto-correct I would take a little less time. So I would like to know if it's possible to enable auto-correct on Messenger?
I asked my brother-in-law but he doesn't know anything about phones...

    Your problem isn't complicated
    Just enable autocomplete
    The method is simple,
    On your keyboard, press the "settings" button
    Then you find "intuitive text" and enable it
    And there you go
    If you've done that, let me know

      Oh thank you, I didn't know that auto-complete was "intuitive text". I've seen it before but I had never tried it because I didn't want to mess things up.
