Hello, I’m creating this thread because I can’t take it anymore. Photoshop has a huge problem right now. At totally random times, it stops. It doesn’t crash, it just stops; I can’t click on any buttons, and my mouse cursor is constantly in the arrow mode. By the way, if I click on the Photoshop icon in the taskbar, the software doesn’t open; I have to minimize other programs to access it.

I work a lot in Photoshop, and I'm currently on a very big project, so it's becoming extremely complicated.

To clarify:
- I’m on Windows 8
- In the task manager, Photoshop is marked "Not responding"
- I’m using an ASUS laptop, specifically a laptop that is really not optimized for Photoshop.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, I'm not very familiar with Windows 8, but check the Task Manager in Windows to see if the CPU usage is close to 100% as well as the physical memory. In that case, it's normal for Photoshop to be unresponsive.

Maybe you're using too many resources on your computer, and in that case, you need to close other applications when you're on Photoshop.

What's your processor and how much RAM do you have?
