Hello everyone!
I am currently on Windows 8, and I am using Photoshop CS6. For over a year, I have been using this software without any issues, but now, since last night, I can't open it: when I click on the icon in my taskbar, it lights up briefly but nothing happens...
I checked what happened when I tried to launch the software with the task manager, and the observation is that for 1 second, the software starts in the background but that's it...
I tried launching Photoshop via the initial .exe file, attempted to run it as an administrator, but nothing works...
Any ideas?
I hope the problem will be resolved, I really don't want to uninstall/reinstall it :(

Hi
The first thing to do in this case is to reset the preferences
Hold Ctrl + Shift + Alt while clicking on the launch icon
A dialog box opens for confirmation, you accept
P.S.: Why is it impossible to reinstall CS6? Error message?
P.S.2: Are you going to buy CC because your CS6 won't start?-
It's good actually, I just finished installing CC, and fortunately it's working!
I couldn't even launch CS6 anymore, no error message, I would just click on the icon and nothing would happen...
No don't worry, I had a monthly subscription so I just upgraded, it's just that I had long avoided this step because my connection is really, really bad, and I would have been without Photoshop for a few days...
That being said, thanks for your reply, I’ll keep it in mind just in case (which I hope doesn't happen) the issue comes back!!
