Hello!
I searched on Google for my problem with Word, but I couldn't find any answers.
Actually, I installed Microsoft Works Suite 2004, including Word. My problem is that when I first start Word, and I want to insert a letter into a word, everything works fine; the letter is inserted between the letters of the word as it should. But after a certain amount of time, about 15 minutes depending, when I try to do exactly the same thing, the next letter gets erased and the letter I wanted to insert replaces the one to the right, and I have to rewrite everything to correct it. The only solution to avoid this is to save and restart Word every time.
I hope I was clear in my explanations, but if you don’t understand, I can clarify with screenshots.
Thank you for your responses!

Hello
When this problem occurs.....generally after deleting a character with the "Delete" key
Just press "Insert" and then type the character(s).... (the "Delete" and "Insert" keys remain memorized until the next use)

Hello
I don't quite understand your last message.
When this happens, it means you are in Refrape mode (RFP): you should see the RFP button active in your status bar at the bottom.
To switch from INS mode (Insertion) to RFP mode (Refrape) and vice versa, just press the INSER key. Generally, we don't need to touch it, and it's often without realizing it that we press it.
Are you saying that it switches to RFP mode by itself at your place?...

Hello,
Insert your Office CD, click on the question mark in Word, and click on "Repair"!

Oh, thank you for the answers everyone! Well, I think that must be it, I must be pressing insert accidentally or something, but I find it strange that it happens so often, that's why. Or it could be that I'm often pressing insert without realizing it! That’s possible too...
In any case, thank you, I know what I need to do now! -
