Hello everyone,
I'm posting here since I couldn't find a "power" section, sorry in advance if this isn't the right place.
Here's my issue, the "AC-Mode" and "Battery-Mode" icons are regularly alternating on my screen without me plugging or unplugging any cables... My battery seems "dead". So my question is multiple... How can I fix the issue, should I remove my battery, do I need to change my power cable, is there a way to disable this display without harming the integrity of the laptop????
I have an ASUS (I think B53), Windows 7.
Thanks in advance to all of you.

As you pointed out, I think your battery is struggling, it probably doesn't know what to do anymore, so the best thing would be to change it... that's my opinion!

Thank you for your reply, I plan to change it, I will order it tomorrow and I will only have the new one in a week (yeah, it's not easy to find a laptop battery, lol).
Right now I have removed the power cable and I am only on the battery... I no longer have the icon display... does that mean that the one and only culprit is the power cable?? -
Ah, there might be a loose connection on the power cable, in which case your battery might not be the issue! Is its autonomy still good?

No no lol, my battery is dead (30 min battery life... and the little Windows icon that tells me it might be a good idea to think about replacing it lol)... For the short circuit, yes that's possible, but strange that it just appeared all of a sudden like that.?
