Certains programmes ne se lancent pas sous Ubuntu

Ouvre un terminal et dedans tu inscris :
sudo apt-get update
et tu vois le résultat s'il ne veut pas le faire, dis le nous.

E: Le téléchargement de quelques fichiers d'index a échoué, ils ont été ignorés, ou les anciens ont été utilisés à la place.

Merci, apparemment, il n'y a que le paquet qui sert a activer ton processeur qui n'est pas bien adapté, mais je ne pense pas que c'est ça qui empêche tes logiciels de s'ouvrir...
Dis moi quel logiciel n'arrive pas à s'ouvrir ?
Pour ouvrir les logiciels, il faut procéder de la manière suivante : tu cliques sur l'icône à gauche qui représente le logo rond d'ubuntu, puis dans la recherche, tu mets le nom de ton logiciel et tu l'ouvres (du moins tu essaies !...)
Pourrais-tu aussi faire l'essai d'installer le logiciel "Synaptic", pour ceci, tu ouvres la logithèque et dans la recherche, tu mets : synaptic
Quand il est installé, tu l'ouvres de la manière que j'ai expliqué plus haut.

J'ai déjà installé Synaptic grâce à la commande sudo apt-get install.
Je n'arrive pas à lancer VirtualBox et Synaptic (les deux seuls programmes que j'ai installés).
Je pense que le problème est graphique car mon bureau ne s'affiche pas bien: quand je glisse des éléments dessus, ils apparaissent dans le dossier "Bureau" mais pas les icônes sur le Bureau.

En effet ! je pense que tu as raison ! mais là c'est un problème ardu qui me dépasse... Si c'est toi qui a installé ubuntu et que tu as encore le disque, je te conseille de recommencer. Si c'est ton P.C. qui n'accepte pas ce nouveau (et exigeant...) Ubuntu 14.04, va voir mon site :
