In-person sale on Le Bon Coin & buyer's complaint

Hello everyone,

I sold my smartphone, which was functioning perfectly, through the site Le Bon Coin, along with the purchase receipt, still under warranty and insured, as I urgently needed money.

[Note that the phone had been submerged in water 4 months prior (even though it was supposed to be IP67 rated and therefore guaranteed to be dust and water resistant) and that I had sent it for repairs to ensure everything was fine. The service center merely noted that the small white sticker next to the battery had turned red, proof that it had indeed been "oxidized", and that they wouldn’t cover any future repairs if needed (as stated in the contract at the time of purchase).
They returned the phone to me and I quickly forgot about that little incident.]

After contacting each other 4 months later, the buyer and I arranged a meeting (device was functioning and in perfect general condition, with no issues whatsoever) and he decided, after at least 20 minutes of handling, to buy it for a certain amount in cash (thus without a contract or bill of sale) and left with it.

More than a month later, he came ringing at my door to tell me that the phone was randomly shutting down (to my great surprise, as everything had been fine until then)
He said he sent it for repairs (which made it the second time, including mine) and that the warranty or insurance was not working. - They even gave him a paper with a photo of the sticker that had turned red. -
Recalling the oxidation story from 4 months ago, I told him that I couldn’t do anything for him and that it had worked perfectly when he tried it and there was no reason he couldn’t see the red sticker, which was clearly visible when opening the case... Well, after a few raised voices, he declared that he would try to get it working the next day... and also warned me that if the defect reappeared and he couldn’t get it repaired, he would file a complaint (for what reason, I don’t know..)

So I am wondering:
What recourse do I have? Am I at fault in the eyes of the law? What do I risk since I do not plan to, and even cannot, refund him.

Thank you for your help!^^

Hello,

Used device sold without invoice, without warranty, and in cash... no recourse possible.
