Hello and help,

I bought and built my new PC, here is the list of main components (brand new).

1 x Intel Core i7-4790K processor
1 x MSI Z97 GAMING 5 motherboard
1 x HIS Radeon R9 280X iPower IceQ X² graphics card, 3 GB
1 x Cooler Master G600, 600W power supply

My problem is with the graphics card, it is connected to the PCI_E2 powered with 2 six-pin connectors, but it is recognized neither in BIOS/UEFI nor in Windows 7 (64-bit).
Currently my monitor is connected to the D-sub of the motherboard.

After browsing numerous French and English forums, I can't find the solution.

Do you have one?

Here’s what I've already tried
Updating the BIOS with MSI Live Update.
Installing the driver (1 from the CD and 2 downloaded) but it failed (in all 3 cases): error message "Application installation: installation package failed!"
Booting with the screen connected to the graphics card and going into the BIOS.
Removing and reinserting the card.

==>Nothing worked.

I noted that the GPU fans are spinning

--Update--

I tried connecting my old graphics card, a gv n430oc 1gi, same problem, it is not recognized (in the BIOS) on PCI_E2 but it is recognized on PCI_E5. So I placed the R9 280X in this slot but it is still not recognized.

Hello,

Do you see anything on the screen when you start with the screen connected to the GPU?

No, black screen in all cases except for the N430 plugged into PCI_E5.

Problem solved: it was necessary to power the graphics card with 2x 8 pins, 6 that I had already connected + 2 that were hanging next to it (connected to ground) that I hadn't paid attention to.
