Hello, happy new year to you! I have a problem and I was wondering if you could help me with starting Windows 7. My computer shows me this message "please wait for the Group Policy Client," and it takes a long time to display the desktop and to shut down, even though I have a very good configuration. The issue comes from this client (I don’t even know what it is, by the way). I found an alternative solution, which is to turn off the PC with the button and restart it in safe mode with network support, then restart it again, and that solves the problem, but it always comes back after a while—not all the time, but often enough. It happened again, and I don't like turning off my PC regularly with the button. If you have a solution, that would be great. Thank you! ;)

Hello, happy new year to you!
So I have a problem and I hope I can get a little help.
When starting Windows 7, my PC shows this message:
please wait for the Group Policy client
As a result, it takes a long time to display the desktop and to shut down, even though I have a very good setup, but the problem comes from this client.
I don’t even know what it is, by the way. ?
I found an alternative solution, which consists of turning off the PC using the button and then turning it back on in safe mode with networking.
Then restart it, and the problem is solved.
But it always comes back after a while, not all the time, but often enough. And now it has happened again and I don't really like turning off my PC using the button regularly.
If you have a solution, that would be great.
Thank you!

Here is the solution to disable the group policy:
Start --> Run --> regedit + press enter
Search in the tree (like in Windows Explorer) for this:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SystemRestore
Select and delete the following keys:
DisableConfig
DisableSR
